Spedra (avanafil) and Cialis (tadalafil) are drugs that belong to the same group of medications called phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitors. Both act by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation and treating erectile dysfunction.
These drugs are similar but different. Spedra is the most modern drug approved by the FDA to treat erectile dysfunction. It is highly effective as it targets the penis more precisely, resulting in a faster onset of erection (approximately 15 minutes).
On the other hand, Cialis acts 30-60 minutes after administration and reaches maximum efficacy after two hours, so you should take it well before the sexual encounter.Â
