Unlike Wegovy, Liraglutide is a daily injection.
Liraglutide is administered subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm once daily. The initial dose is 0.6 mg daily for one week. The dose is increased at weekly intervals to the recommended dose of 3 mg.
Treatment with Liraglutide should be re-evaluated after 12 weeks, it is recommended to discontinue the medication if you did not lose at least 4% of your BMI on the 3.0 mg/day or maximum tolerated dose.
