FUT is a hair transplant method where a strip of skin with hair follicles is removed from the back of the scalp under local anaesthesia. The hair follicles are then transplanted into the balding areas.
The area where the strip of skin is removed is then sutured or stapled back together. This method can leave a linear scar on the back of the head, which can be hidden by the remaining hair.
FUT is also commonly known as the “linear strip method” of hair transplant.
